Edward Austin is the first known ancestor of Austin Families Association of America's founder Edith Austin Moore. His line was first published in the back of the Edith's book Robert Austin of Rhode Island along with other Austin lines that she felt were closely related to the Robert line.
DNA tests performed in 2007 now show that Edward is probably a direct descendant of Robert. The tests suggests that a connection may have occurred either in New England or back in England.
This latest update includes the addition of ssdi and census data, and some corrections to the Doug & Les Austin family line.
